THE R
The monitor controller for audio professionals, artists and passionate audio lovers
The monitor controller for audio professionals, artists and passionate audio lovers
The R monitor controller is an innovative and affordable passive device for intuitive and precise sound monitoring in studios, home studios, audio facilities, etc. It allows you to connect two stereo sources, one subwoofer and two pairs of active monitors. Built with the same quality components such as Neutrick and Mogami as its big brother The SMC stereo, it delivers extremely transparent sound allowing you to work with confidence on your music, mixes, masters or any audio project.
The R monitor controller is cleverly designed to be compact so it doesn’t take up unnecessary space on your workspace; it is built to make use of the vertical space rather than the precious depth of your desk! It features the usual DIM (-20 dB), MONO, and MUTE functions found on monitor controllers but offers a really handy PAN function that lets you listen in mono or stereo on the selected pair of monitors, or isolate the left or right speaker. This function also allows you to monitor your selected input source in mono through a single speaker when MONO is engaged! All of these features are controlled using toggle switches that were carefully chosen : switches with paddle handles were chosen because in FAYE RSTUDIOS' vision, they are the most logical choice in this type of device and offer the best tactile feel when operating it.
The R monitor controller lets you select and combine your subwoofer to the selected monitors, bypass it or solo it, thanks to an original integration.
It is equipped with a logarithmic 24-step volume control meticulously designed to provide a very smooth and musical attenuation, starting with -2 dB per step and reaching a total attenuation range of at least -66 dB. Each step allows you to precisely recall previous volume levels, with a tolerance of ±0.1 dB between the left and right channels. Its elegant and robust aluminum knob makes using it a joy. Many users will find the R monitor controller to be the most fun, neutral, and transparent monitor controller they have used so far. You can pre-order yours below!
